Five years ago, at 31 years old, I heard words that changed my life forever:
“You have multiple myeloma.”
Multiple myeloma is a rare blood cancer, and at the time, my daughter, Rarity, was only one year old.
Over the months that followed, my life became filled with chemotherapy treatments, doctor appointments, uncertainty, and eventually a stem cell transplant. Like many people facing a serious illness, there were days filled with fear, exhaustion, and questions about what the future would hold.
Despite everything, I kept moving forward—one day at a time.
From Surviving to Helping Others
My journey through cancer inspired me to write Rise Anyway.
The book isn’t just about my diagnosis. It’s about resilience.
It’s for anyone facing cancer, anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, loss, or any obstacle that makes life feel overwhelming. I wanted to create something that reminds people they are stronger than the challenges in front of them.
The message is simple:
Your circumstances don’t have to define your future.
