Rise Anyway: Two New Author Interviews

I’m grateful to be featured in The Writer’s Workout Indie Author Spotlight and invited back for a second interview about Rise Anyway: A Memoir of Survival.

These conversations gave me the opportunity to share more about the experiences behind the book—surviving cancer, raising my daughter, navigating mental-health challenges, and learning how to keep moving forward through some of the hardest seasons of my life.

Rise Anyway is built around a simple message: pain may become part of our story, but it does not have to determine how that story ends.

Resilience does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it means getting out of bed, showing up for the people who depend on you, and taking life one day at a time.

I did not write this memoir because I had everything figured out. I wrote it because I understood what it felt like to need hope while living through circumstances that made hope difficult to hold onto.

My hope is that readers see themselves somewhere in my story and remember that the chapter they are living through does not have to be their final one.

Thank you to Jennifer Martin and The Writer’s Workout for giving independent authors a space to share not only their books, but also the lives and experiences behind them.
